Thinking of doing my 6 month dtv border run in laos, any advice on most efficient way to pop out and in? I was thinking a flight from bkk to Udon Thani and making our way to the Thao Laos friendship bridge.
Any help / advice would be much appreciated!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses options for performing a 6-month DTV border run to Laos, suggesting a flight from Bangkok to Udon Thani and then traveling to the Thai-Laos Friendship Bridge. Comments provide alternative suggestions, including flying directly to other countries like Vietnam or Malaysia, which may be more cost-effective and less time-consuming than the border route.
Just fly to Vietnam or Malaysia? Most of foreigners don't need the visa to get there(Laos does) and you can fly for like 3k return. Just done that this week and surely better than a full day wasted to rush to border and get back
If you're going to fly from BKK, why not just a direct flight over the border? Might end up costing you less and coming back via the airports is an absolute breeze on the DTV
