TLDR : Answer Summary
Travelers from Nigeria holding a DTV visa can book a one-way ticket without necessarily buying a return flight. While airline policies may vary, it's recommended to inform the airline about the DTV visa at check-in to avoid issues. Some recent travelers have successfully entered Thailand with a one-way ticket, provided they were ready to show proof of their visa.

Be sure to ASK YOUR AIRLINE. That's important for you to know if they will issue the boarding pass with ONLY a one way ticket.

Especially as Nigerian passport holders must have a Thai Visa to enter Thailand. You have the DTV visa... but ask your airline if they will issue a boarding pass without a return ticket or ticket departing Thailand.

Thank You for your helpful report 👍

Congratulations 👏👏👏

PRINT OUT THE EMAIL THAT HAS YOUR DTV VISA.

That's what you should do... print it out.

You may have to show PROOF of your DTV Visa to airline staff on check-in for your flight ✈️ to Thailand...even to the connecting airline staff. Or to the land border crossing entry Thai Immigration Officer.

Upon arrival into Thailand, show the DTV visa to the Thai Immigration Officer and look at the STAMP placed in your passport to be sure you are STAMPED in for 180 days.

If the airline check-in counter asks for a return ticket, you can show them your DTV visa. No need to buy a return ticket. I passed Thai immigration today with a DTV visa, and the officer didn’t ask anything for that.

One way is fine for the DTV, you may need to explain to your airline about the DTV as they may ask for a return ticket.
