Can I return to Phuket on the same day after a quick trip to Singapore?

Dec 29, 2025
I'm currently on a DTV and have been in Phuket since July. I'll be exiting next month, close to the 180 days I am allowed to stay here.

I am planning to fly to Singapore and I am wondering if it is necessary to stay a night before I return, or I can catch a flight on the same day back to Phuket.

Any advice is appreciated.

I did this returning to Phuket. Immigration did get a little bit testy. Asking more questions than they normally would. Spend a few days out there. What I have learnt is what the rules say vs what is enforced varies.

usually less than a minute each way at SIN with mandatory digital arrival card.

Singapore is pleasant for a couple of days. It's an easy place to get around, food is good, worth staying.

What's the hurry? Never understood why anyone would want to fly back so soon.

In my case, it’s because I hardly had any vacation days left with my employer, and in the hotel (outside of Thailand) my remote-working setup isn’t available to me.

you work 7 days a week?
Markus ********
No. I spent two nights in Malaysia over the weekend. But nothing more than that.

No need, but less questions that may be asked if your doing a weekend vacation or similar.
Toni *******
No need to stay, but I would stay because never been there before (apart from airport) and it looks like an interesting place
Pete *******
You can fly out and return the same day.
