Hi All, just a quick question.

My 1 year extension based on a retirement visa is due for renewal on 30th of September, what is the earliest date I can reapply for another extension.

(Due to upcoming travel requirements)

I’m registered at kalasin, just trying to save myself a 2 hour round trip for asking them. Thanks 🙏
Answer summary
The earliest date to reapply for a renewal of a retirement visa extension in Thailand is generally 30 to 45 days before the expiration date, depending on the local immigration office. While most offices allow renewals 30 days prior, some, like those in Hua Hin and Khon Kaen, may permit applications 45 days in advance. For those in Kalasin, it would be best to confirm directly with the local immigration office for specifics.

Mine has to be on the last of my visa so you should ask because all applications are treated differently apparently

I always do mine 1 month before it's due and have done so in Pattaya and Khon Kaen and one did it 38 day before in Pattaya, it's always dated from the expiry of the existing extension. I was told by an officer in Pattaya they they will do it 40 days before but this does vary with offices. I also know someone who had to return to UK about 3 months bepore their extension expired and wasn't going to get back in time and Immigration did the renewal but the new extension started immidiately not at the end of his current extension like it is if you do it within the expected time limit

In kk it can be done 45 days prior to the renewal date. If you don't fancy the 2 hr trip to the immigration office then call them and ask.

If you're planning on travelling you need to get your documents right first time so you need someone to get the Kalasin's retirement extension list of requirements from them before you submit

Usually 30 days before but a few offices are 45 days before. Call them and ask, their phone number is on their website

Some immigration offices offer a renewal 45 days before the expiry of the current extension

It’s 45 days in Hua Hin
