UK Citizens - what’s the turnaround for visas at the moment. In particular the METV obv I’m aware each case is different but would be good to know if anyone has applied recently and how long it took roughly. Thanks 😁

TLDR : Answer Summary
The turnaround for METV (Multiple Entry Tourist Visa) applications for UK citizens generally ranges from 5 to 15 working days. A commenter mentioned receiving their visa in five working days, although they had to resubmit some information due to an error. Others noted that the actual processing time can vary based on completeness and accuracy of the application, as well as individual circumstances. It's advised to clearly demonstrate the necessity for the METV, especially if returning to Thailand within 60 days.

I got ours in five working days BUT I made an error and had to resubmit some information. Take time and care to ensure you complete the application properly and as fully as you can, I would have had everything in three days of of done so first time. Very easy process though. Working days, they were working days, I heard nothing over the weekend. Good luck
the application is the same for both, you just need a good reason why you need METV. But I'm unsure of the lead time to entry. Worth checking for sure. Good Luck.
no need to check Todd had answered before that a METV is when it’s issued not when you enter annoyingly! You just have been talking about the normal TR

Katy Tasker entry is valid for three months from the date of issue. Eg. If the visa is issued on the 1st September, i have until approx 1st dec to ENTER. Then your visa term begins.
thanks for your help. Trying to judge how long to apply before I leave to get the visa as close as possible to the departure date - never east all this visa stuff 🙄
Keep in mind you need to show WHY you need an METV and that you're leaving thailand in 60 days and comin' back in after that or they'll just sell you a SETV and keep the difference in price
having just looked at the application there is no way of proving WHY you need an METV it’s simply an upload document at each stage task it evens asks for accommodation and travel confirmation of FIRST visit. I can’t see how they can decide between the two 🤷🏻♀️
you show that you're leaving in 60 days and coming back <- meaning you book OUT and IN flights 60 days after your initial expected visa it.
Make a booking to vietnam or somewhere 60 days after your first arrival and then make a booking that you're comin' back a week later. It's JUST to show them why you need a METV. you can cancel them as soon as the visa is approved
Also just show a hotel booking for a week from your arrival date it'll be fine.
AND on any page that is not relevant any more (quarantine, vax history, etc) just write on a paper NO LONGER REQUIRED and take a photo of it because you have to upload something in those questions
thanks but with each document upload it only allows you to upload one document! Travel and accommodations it says confirmation of first visit. Also there aren’t any questions that are relevant now. Quarantine etc has been taken off.
