I want to apply online for a METV. I am in Italy. I already read on the official site that it says 1 month.

I ask for DIRECT EXPERIENCE ONLY from those who have already obtained it. how many days did they take?

since I would like to use the visa for the maximum time (almost 9 months) and the expiry depends on the moment the embassy issue the visa.

Not Italy, but in the Netherlands I had my METV in 48 hrs after applying the E-visa.

It varies I think, but usually quite fast if everything is in order. And every embassy may be different

I do not have direct (recent) experience, but what we hear in this group and related groups is something like 1-2 weeks. However, even though the eVisa system is online the visa applications are handled by the Embassy/Consulate in your country of residence. How busy they are is highly seasonal and may very well differ from Embassy/Consulate to Embassy/Consulate. So if you really want direct experience then you need someone doing it at the same time of year in Italy. I guess groups for Italian ppl. being tourists in Thailand is where you should try to ask.

I took me 1 week to get my METV, it goes live the moment you receive the visa, so its important to buy your ticket to thailand asap so you can maximize the METV

I hope you can find someone with actual experience but the METV is not a common visa.
