Has anyone visited the Royal Thai Consulate in Kuala Lumpur recently?
[Apologies for the complexity of the query.🙏🏻]
How difficult/easy would the TR visa obtaining process be for someone who’s canceling an ED to get a Tourist visa soon to be able to transfer to a Non-B by a hiring company?
Thank you ka

TLDR : Answer Summary
The query seeks insights into the ease or difficulty of obtaining a TR (Tourist) visa from the Royal Thai Consulate in Kuala Lumpur, especially for someone transitioning from an ED (Education) visa. Comments highlight the importance of checking the consulate's website for current requirements, emphasize the need for appointments for both visa application and collection, and mention variations in processing times based on passport nationality.
All depends on what passport you hold, some can get a visa within 2 days, some will take 4 weeks, and some you cannot use in KL. Some passport holders are also required to reside in Malaysia before they can use this specific embassy
KL require appointments to apply for a visa AND collect said visa. Ensure you’ve printed out the checklist for the particular visa you’re applying for and have checked off each item. You probably won’t get in the door without it.
so I would have to book an appointment both for applying and collecting? In that case how to decide on the collection date? 2 business days difference?
Have you checked the website for the consulate? Most of the embassies in SE Asia have up to date website with all the requirements for specific visa types.
