REENTRY @ BKK - Hey guys. How many hours before my departure from BKK to Germany should I queue up to get my reentry permit (at Bkk)? I'm departing around noon. Never did it before. Anything else I should be aware of?

Thank you all :)

TLDR : Answer Summary
If you're departing from Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) to Germany and need a reentry permit, it usually takes about 10-15 minutes to obtain one. It's recommended to arrive at the re-entry permit counter just after passing through security screening.

Shouldn't take you long at all. It's usually about 10-15 minutes to get a re-entry permit at Suvarnabhumi. The re-entry counter is just after security screening

Am I right in thinking you don't need to take photos to the airport, that they will take them for you on site? (for 200 baht)

@Hazel ******
,

"Re-entry permit" & "fine for overstay" counter (office) is same one small office at Don Mueang airport. It is located after passport control and before security screening. No closing hours. Order of security screening and passport control is inverse between Don Mueang airport and Suvarnabhumi airport.

This information is as of this May.
