Hi, does anyone know about this boarder crossing, I have never used it before. I just need to do a quick in and out for my 90 days. I have a 1 year extension of stay based on marriage. Is it a simple crossing, can you walk across or are you at the mercy of the touts? Cost of the visa into Cambodia? What time is it open? Any useful info greatly appreciated

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses crossing the border to Cambodia for a quick visa run, specifically for someone with a one-year multiple entry Non-O visa based on marriage. Various comments provide insights into potential challenges, costs, and the need for possible overnight stays at certain border crossings, particularly near Poi Pet. Keep in mind there are many many border crossings with Thailand and the neighboring countries that ONLY allow locals of both countries to cross NOT foreigners. Google is your friend, if you don't find any posts about someone bouncing there it usually means you can't.

Some borders require an overnight stay. Not many but a few. Others here will explain which ones.

Thanks to Google, this border crossing is the railway crossing next to the most famous

the Poi Pet - Aranyaprathet border with Cambodia..

The only border crossing famous of all the problems and on every forum about Thailand you will read the same AVOID it to all costs.

Best border crossing to Cambodia: Ban Laem Cambodia.

Yes, it's multi entry, why the overnight? If I go to Mukdahan, it's a 1 hour exercise to go across and back, but it's an extra 5 hours in the car

it's overnight because of the Cambodian laws, not Thai laws. I recommend avoiding almost all Cambodia borders

I'm not sure what border this is, since it doesn't give a name or other information. If it's Cambodia, you well probably have to spend the night there.

However...

If you have a one year extension of stay, you don't do a border bounce. If you have a multiple entry visa, you do

My guess he has a 1 year multiple entry visa based on marriage rather than an extension of stay and has to do border hop every 90 days.
