TLDR : Answer Summary
If you hold a DTV visa due to employment and lose your job, you risk losing your visa if immigration discovers the change. However, current practices indicate that immigration does not routinely request proof of employment at arrival, but they may do so during visa extensions. It's advisable to maintain transparency about your employment situation.

honesty is best, you should go in and just tell them.

No it's a tourist visa.

I was accepted with 0-160hours/month contract so I dont think they require it? Why else would they accept 0hour contract? They did ask for latest payslips tho... but they kind of accepted me doing 0hours?

Zero hour contract is still a contract of employment and increasingly common. You have a contract of employment, if no employment contract at all then immigration very likely see it differently

yea what i meant was, he still has the contract which most likely has no end date... so what would they ask 🤔

@Toni ******
ok, I see what you mean. A contract with no end date would suffice.

If you are questioned by immigration and can not provide proof of remote employment, yes they could cancel your DTV. IOs are not currently requesting proof of employment on arrival only when you extend at an immigration office.

You could just make something up. It's remote employment, they can't verify anything from abroad.

does this mean exiting and re-entering is safer than attempting to extend?

Absolutely 💯

extending in the country if you can find anywhere that will do it requires all the original all proof so yes, you will likely be refused an extension.

At a border there is a low chance you could be pulled aside and questioned. I dont think we've had any reliable reports of it.
