What happens to a DTV if I obtain a Thai work permit?

Hi all, can anyone please advise on what would happen to a DTV with several years remaining if you were to obtain a Thai work permit? Would the DTV be automatically cancelled or would it still be active, if the foreign-based position was continued concurrently? If it is indeed cancelled, is this absolute, or just "paused"? Say if you left the local company could it be resumed again until the 5 years is up? Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
When obtaining a Thai work permit, you cannot maintain a DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) as you cannot hold two visas simultaneously. You would need to cancel the DTV to apply for a Non-B visa, which allows you to obtain a work permit. This is not a simple pause; the DTV validity is forfeited during the transition to a Non-B visa.

You aren't going to be getting a work permit if you have a DTV because you can only get a work permit on the NoN O marriage or a non B.

You can't hold two visas simultaneously. You'll need to find a way to transfer your DTV to a Non-B with Work Permit. That means you'll lose the remaining balance of validity months of your DTV.

Pretty certain you would have to cancel the DTV to get the appropriate visa, mostly B but can get on spouse O, to get a Work Permit

You can't obtain a work permit while holding a DTV, you would need to obtain a visa that allows you to hold one and you can't hold 2 visas simultaneously. You can however apply to convert your DTV to a Non-B visa at a local immigration office inside Thailand if your employer is willing to supply the paperwork to do so.
