TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion addresses concerns about leaving Thailand when the accommodation owner fails to complete the TM30 form. Most users clarify that the TM30 is primarily the responsibility of the property owner and is not a barrier to exiting the country. Various comments emphasize that border immigration does not require TM30 for departure unless one needs to interact with immigration while in Thailand. It is highlighted that the typical consequences for non-completion might involve fines, but this is irrelevant for exit purposes.

The worse scenario is 2000 baht

No. TM30 is for the owner and visa extension.

Tony Cabello a one night stay requires a tm30, but you don't file it, the place you're staying does.

Tony Cabello Unless you own your own condo you don't need to file a TM30.

It's the property owners responsibility.

Tony Cabello the length of time is not relevant, the house owner or hotel are required to complete a TM30 within 24 hours however, in practice unless you need to go to immigration it does not matter.

Nope. Border Immigration doesn't care about the TM30. It's only required if you need to use an immigration office inside Thailand

Adrian Foister Just about any interaction with immigration requires a TM30, most offices require even for a tourism extension. However, a "standard" tourist leaving within 60 days will not require to show a TM30 at any point
