My tourist visa expires on Oct 12 which is Saturday. I plan to get an extension at the Immigration Gov't complex in BKK. My question is can I go Monday the 14th and not have an overstay penalty or do I have to go tomorrow the 11th?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned about extending their tourist visa, which expires on October 12th. The comments suggest that it is better to visit the immigration office on October 11th, as the office will be closed on October 14th due to a holiday. If the user waits until October 14th, they will incur an overstay, despite potential waiving of the fine. Therefore, it is recommended to go before the expiration date to ensure no penalties.

there is no reason to wait until your current stamp is almost expiring because the ADD the 30 day extension to your current expiration date.

GO tomorrow, I mean face it you're a tourist, it's not like you have anything else to do.

Otherwise go Tuesday and get an overstay stamp in your passport (but no overstay fine)

Play it safe...go Friday to get your 30 days extension.

better to go before, tomorrow. Overstay fine being waived doesn't mean you are not overstaying. you will be overstaying after 12th until you got extension. and immigration office will be closed on 14th.

14th it's closed, it's a holiday.

Go on the 11th
