Hello guys after the new rules for the dtv what happens if i apply from another country wich is not my home country, do i get refused 100% or i might get a chance to be approved? I heard that its all online the process so how they will check if im there or not? Thanks in advance if anyone can help💪
Summary so far
The consensus among community members is that applying for a Thai visa from a country that is not your home country is likely to result in rejection. Various comments highlight that proof of location and permanent residence is essential, and applicants are advised to follow the rules strictly. Some suggest that the process is monitored through IP addresses, making it difficult to bypass regulations. There are suggestions to apply from neighboring countries, but the overall advice leans towards refraining from applying unless you meet the specified criteria.

they ask for a proof of residence for italian people it might be an id card with your adress or residency certificate wich i have but it doeant say anything about being physically in your country when you submit the application you just need to sumbit it to the correct embassy, that was my question and no one gave a correct answer

Yeah. Be fine. Just apply anywhere you want. Ignore any of the requirements and submit whatever documents you want. Be sweet. 👌🏼

It all checks ip address now! But of a daft question like to be fair! But if there is a way you can get around it’s worth a try! They have just asked me for I think it’s a na17 form which is part of residency while your staying in the country your applying from. So you could try but if they ask for the proof you could be f***ex

Don't listen to the negative people... I'm sure you'll be fine. If you ask nicely, they'll overlook all regulations for you😊😊

The IP address tied to how you apply, is country specific. The first three numbers tells which country it is from.

You HAVE to be in YOUR home country, which they WILL KNOW, OR the country you are a PERMANENT resident of, with a permanent residency card.

PositiveLynx7934 exactly! The good news is that Thailand is adding these new requirements to assist them in better filtering out these idiots that are mostly concerned with the possibility of manipulating the system to try and get approved for a Visa that they are generally not qualified for.

If you were serious about applying you wouldn't risk $400 USD. Therefore, you're not serious. This is a baiting post.

How do you f-a-k-e being physically present with passport stamps saying otherwise, and your IP address from where you apply a dead give away? Considering that they want proof of permanent residency ....

Do you seriously think they can’t read your passport nationality? And if you’re a resident, you’ll need to prove it. Follow the rules or do not come.

Yes you'll be refused. They ask for proof of location and proof of permanent residence

You can only apply from your home country, a country where you have permanent residence, or a country where you hold an acceptable long-term visa.

No you can still apply, I think you should apply from Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia. The best place is Myanmar, you can actually go and apply there and you can even find some part time work in acting in modelling!

Right, until they ask you to send them all pages of your passport or call you in for an interview.

Just abide by the rules.
