Hi, I have a question about the “under consideration” period that is given before the final extension approval of the Non-B Work Visa.
The officer has sent me back and forth several times first approving things, then requesting additional documents, and then the superior changing the requirements again several times. Now they have said that I will receive the consideration stamp, but they cannot say whether the superior in the administrative center will ultimately approve the extension and documents are okay, but they don't know what the admin center will say.
When I asked whether, during the consideration period, I have to provide additional documents if the superior requested them, they told me no.
So I’m trying to understand: what is the purpose of the consideration period if no additional documents can be submitted during that time? Is the application simply being reviewed internally based on the documents already submitted?
And what happens if, during this consideration period, the superior suddenly decides to reject the application? Would I be given a reason and an opportunity to address the issue, or would we simply have to leave/apply for another type of stay?
I would really appreciate if someone could explain how this process normally works, because the information we are receiving from the officers seems to keep changing and this whole process has been very confusing. Thank you!
