What does my friend need for a border bounce at Sadao after overstaying on a Non-B visa?

Help please!

Long story short, a friend has accidentally overstayed on a Non-B, is headed for Sadao border crossing tomorrow morning to do a bounce.

Does he need cash or a bank statement?

Is the onward ticket required if he's living and working in Thailand? He can show a valid work permit and get a letter from the school.

Basically he just needs a 30 day TV to buy the school some time to do the paperwork for a new NON-B

Any help is appreciated.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A friend is attempting a border bounce at Sadao after overstaying their Non-B visa and needs advice on requirements. They inquire if cash or a bank statement is necessary, and whether an onward ticket is required despite having a valid work permit and a supporting letter from their school. Comments indicate that Sadao is not the most accommodating border for visa bounces and caution that minimum cash for fines and possibly staying overnight in Malaysia may be needed.

boy that's one bad border to try a bounce for a 30 day visa exempt stamp.

He can't fly out and in? There are a lot of stories in thai related forums on the inter-web about what people go thru down there..

He's already on his way there. We've also heard it's bad.

Do you know anything about requirements?

Some time ago there was a post on here Sadao does not allow border bounce for 30 day Visa Exempt stamp. He will need at least 500 Thb a day to pay the fine for overstay and stay overnight in Malaysia before coming back. Sadao is not the friendliest border crossing in Thailand.

I've read they want to see cash, but no experience myself.
