Hi all, I’m doing a visa run to Mae Sai at the end of this month/. Early Aug. I’m taking my passport/ flight ticket and money and the document issued at airport. Do I need anything else?
Also if anyone wants to join me, please let me know.
Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is planning a visa run to Mae Sai and inquires about necessary documents beyond their passport, flight ticket, and airport-issued document. Comments clarify that for a 'border bounce,' they won't need proof of funds or onward travel. They also mention the fees involved and limitations on visa entries by land.
Vidhya Raghavan you don't need anything but your passport (and the departure card they gave you at the airport). That border crossing doesn't ask for proof of funds, proof of onward travel or anything like that. Take it if you want to but don't give it to them unless they ask (which they won't).
You get to the border, stamp out of thailand, pay 500 baht, get stamped in and out of burma turn around and get stamped back into thailand.
You are actually doing what's called a 'border bounce' <-meaning you're going to the border, stamping out of thailand, stamping in&out of another country and stamping back into thailand.
A visa run is where you go to a thai consulate in another country to BUY a visa ;)
Be that as it may you won't need proof of funds, proof of onward travel or anything at that border to bounce out and back in. It costs 500baht to get stamped in and out of burma.
Remember though you can only get TWO 30 day visa exempt entries by land in a calendar year
