Hey guys. As known earlier i got a visa based on marriage non o from Savannakhet consulate. Now my first refresh is coming up. As I've never done one before i have some questions in how it's done. Turning to the experts in Hope of some guidance. From what i understand this is a quick bounce at any border? I would just go out and back in to get another 3 months? Does it matter what border i use for this? Is there anything i should bring with me or anything else to think about for that matter? Would be nice if someone could clearify this for me. Thanks have a nice day.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking guidance on how to refresh their Non-O visa through a border bounce since it's their first time doing so. They want to know if any border can be used for exiting and re-entering Thailand, what documents (if any) they should bring, and any tips for the process. Community responses clarify that typically a simple exit and re-entry with just the passport is needed, but may require proof of funds or additional documentation depending on the circumstances.

if you are on a non-o M you dont need to bring anything besides your passport. i dont know how it is if you do it at a cambo/laos border but mae sai border for myanmar there is a 500 baht fee as well.
Tod *********
the 500 baht fee at Mae Sai -Tachiliek is to pay the burmese for the day pass and to stamp you in and out of the country.

Bouncing out and back in at any of the cambodian or lao borders mean getting a visa on arrival to those countries to get stamped in and out.

Okay
@Alexander ****
, you need to say where you are in thailand so people can tell you the closest (and most user friendly) border to bounce out and back in on to get another 90 day entry stamp.

Ah sorry, forgot to mention I'm in Korat. Any tips or suggestions of border to use or not to use? Out of curiosity how's the Nong khai border with all this? Thank you

Alexander - where are you located inside Thailand.. You just need to do a 'border bounce' as you said - exit Thailand - get stamped out - then reenter within minutes. Where you are can of course have a bearing on the easiest most convenient border crossing to use.. Also the Non Immigrant multi-entry visas like you have usually get an easier time of it versus tourist visas and Exempt entries but you could still be ask to show cash as has been suggested

@Alexander ****
- one of the Cambodian crossings. Ask here about which one

Can you be asked to produce any of the 3 of's upon re-entry for this type of visa ? 20k cash, proof of residence or onward ticket ? Can immigration insist you spend at least one night out of the country ? Heard some Thai/Malay border points can be "difficult" if they want to make a point
Matt *******
I've never been asked to show cash (at southern borders) but always take all 3 just incase
Tod *********
the southern border crossings are known to ask for the 20K baht in cash on Non-immigrant type visa entries, but those are the only ones I'm aware of

Bring the right amount of cash with you, so you don't get denied entry to Thailand.....

refresh a visa? If you have the Multiple Entry Non Immigrant O visa there is a date on the visa under the text Enter before or Valid Until. On entry in Thailand you get 90 days of stay. At the end of these 90 days you can bounce at a border with just the passport for a new 90 day admitted to stay as long as you do this before that date on the visa.

@Mick *******
you need to ask your own question on it's own thread. This is NOT about getting an extension but about border bouncing to get another 90 day stamp
Robert *******
Yes if you ask about the 90 days of stay reports, but depending on Immigration Office, so always ask when you make your first report. But NO if you need to leave the country because of your Admitted to Stay period of 90 days. Which one you like to know Tony Osborne?

Ah sorry not refresh just re enter. I do have a visa wich says enter before 22 jul 2019 and a stamp saying non o admitted until Oct 2018. So that's when I go and re enter using only my passport? Thank you Robert.
Robert *******
Cons are that you need money in the bank or monthly income for the Extension of Stay. Pro is the 90 days report can be done online, so it is only two visits to Immigration a year and not every 90 days to a border, at some places report within 24 hours at immigration and once a year a short holiday for a visa

Robert, for my own info an Non O based on Marriage would it not be easier to just apply for a extension of stay in Country & then apply for a multiple re-entry in Country so to avoid the 90 day bounce & just do a 90 day report, What are the pros & cons versus an extension of stay & a multiple O both based on marriage ?
