I am a 57 year old Brit who came to Thailand nearly two years ago on an O-A visa obtained in London and have a ‘Permitted to Stay’ stamp until the 20th April 2020.
With everything happening with corona, I was planning to go to bounce out and back into Thailand tomorrow at the Myanmar border before everything is shut down, as I want to convert my O-A to an O based on marriage by obtaining a visa exemption first and then getting an O visa from my local immigration in Lopburi then after 2 months apply for an ‘Extension of Stay’ based on marriage.
My question is, am I required to have the three proofs (20K cash, hotel booking and ticket to exit Thailand) to do the border bounce?
I have not done any land crossing before.
Thanking you in anticipation

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user sought advice about converting their O-A visa to an O visa based on marriage. They planned to do a border bounce at the Myanmar border before potential shutdowns due to COVID-19 and inquired about the necessity of carrying three proofs (20K cash, hotel booking, and ticket to exit Thailand) for the crossing.
you MIGHT get asked for the three proofs, so it is advisable to get them. As for the O/A . .you are in the second year, so just exit Thailand without a re-entry permit, as this will invalidate the O/A and you will be able to enter by 30-days visa-exempt
