Hi, I applied for a DTV from Mumbai, India. Received a 6 month multiple entry tourist visa instead? What does this mean? Can I reapply for a DTV while this visa is still valid?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user initially applied for a DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) but received a 6-month multiple entry tourist visa instead. This implies that the embassy deemed the METV more appropriate for their application. Based on user comments, it appears that individuals cannot apply for a new visa while holding a valid visa, suggesting they must wait for the current visa to expire or be canceled. There are speculations that the application might have been denied due to concerns that the user would engage in activities seen as competition to local businesses, as they own a travel company.
That is probably the issue. They probably feel like he/she is going to get here and start selling travel packages and/or act likena tour guide. Even though the work is technically to clients outside of Thailand it is probably being seen as direct competition against local businesses.
