Hey everyone,

I'm planning on getting my DTV Visa in Taiwan next week, early December 2024, and I've been reviewing all the posts from people who got it successfully from this group.

I have my own business and have been working online full-time since 2013.

I'm finalizing all the documents that I will bring with me and here's what I have so far:

- Taiwan sim to provide a number

- Receipt of my Airbnb

- Valid passport (Mine's good until June 2026)

- Photocopy of my passport

- Stripe account from January 2024 to highlight client payments

- Business account with over 500k THB showing cashflow from January 2024 and highlighting the amount that came from Stripe

- Investment account with over 500k THB with my name showing

- Completed visa application form from their website

- 2 x Recent color photo with white background 3.5 x 4.5cm

- Cover letter summarizing what I do for work

- Letter of Employment (written by myself in my company name and signed by me)

- Employment Agreement saying that I've been working for my company since 2013 and I do it all online

- Documents of my company formation in Canada, my name is showing as well

- Contract with clients in 2024

- Invoices I have sent to clients over the past few months

- Print out of my website, YouTube channel, Instagram, and podcast and me conducting Zoom calls with students

- 11k TWD in cash for the fee

Did I miss anything?

Never been to Taipei so just making sure.

Thanks to everyone who shared their experience getting their DTV in Taiwan. It's been so helpful putting everything together.

Looks well-researched. Good luck!

Looks fine. You need to have 500K in an accessible personal account.

my business account is accessible anytime

They want it in a personal account not business. It has to be separate, Applicants have got into problems due to not applying with a personal account for the 500K. The 500k is meant to support yourself. 500k in a business account is for business purposes

should I bother with the business account then?
Andi ***********
@Myke ***********
You can show it as support for your business if you want. It is not necessary to show 500k in a business account it is essential to show it in a personal account.

got it, do I need to show my Stripe transactions too?
Andi ***********
@Myke ***********
Yes, it shows you have viable income/business. Other applicants have posted using Stripe as evidence

so the only thing I need to add is a personal account with 500k THB, correct?

If I go on December 9th, what date should be on the bank account that I present? Does it have to be on that same day?
Andi ***********
@Myke ***********
They told me the balance should be 500k on day of submission. Any balance date until you submit is fine.

I get that, I'm talking about the printed version of my bank account, does it need to be printed on the day of submission (December 9th) or can I print it sooner (December 2nd)?
Andi ***********
@Myke ***********
Printed sooner is fine .

does it matter if the account is personal or business if the money is easily accessible?

Taipei told me they do not look at tax returns.
