We are a legally married couple looking at applying for an OA retire visa and I know that the primary applicant (I am male, 60 yo) must be over 50, but is there any age requirement for my wife? She will be about 46 yo at the time of application. TIA! Peter.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The primary applicant for an OA retirement visa in Thailand must be over 50 years old, but there are no specific age requirements for the spouse. However, it is essential to check with the respective embassy if they issue trailing spouse visas as part of the process. Alternatively, spouses under the required age can explore options such as applying for a DTV visa to stay in Thailand while waiting for eligibility to apply for the retirement visa.

She could apply for a DTV visa that will cover her for 5 years until she can apply for the retirement visa

Just another option to have

Cool - thanks for the suggestion Jeremy - just seems weird (to me anyway) that a spouse would not be covered by the main applicant's visa - but thats the way it is! Cheers, Peter.

Requirement for trailing spouse visa IF the embassy that serves your area agrees to issue it as piggyback on a Non O-A visa.

No, have you checked that the Embassy you will be using will issue a trailing spouse Visa though?
