I will be applying for my DTV in June under my LLC. (content creator and Trading) I have a website. I know i will need to show my business formation papers and a letter stating that I can work remotely etc. My best friend will be moving to Thailand as well. She will be applying for a DTV under my company. Do I need to establish a employment contract for her, as well as the letter stating that she will be working remotely under the company? Any helpful tips and suggestions is greatly appreciated

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is applying for a DTV visa under their LLC as a content creator and trader. They plan to have their friend apply under the same company and seek advice on whether to establish an employment contract for her, along with a letter about remote work. Community responses suggest that a contract would strengthen the application, and both individuals must demonstrate legitimate income to avoid issues with the Thai authorities regarding visa legitimacy.

They will look carefully at what content you are creating and whether or not it could lead you to doing business with other Thai individuals or Companies, especially if it’s travel related .

What are you planning to create?

You will both need to show it’s legit income and not contrived for a DTV.

It sounds like you are scamming the system, as “content creator” and “trading” aren’t real jobs and don’t require companies and employees.

Anonymous participant 196 Thai authorities will look carefully at those types of applications, many are rejected. They definitely need to do plenty of research before submitting or the B10,000 has gone down the drain.

Both of you are also going to have to show income from your work. If your "friend" has a contract to work with your company then they are going to have to show earnings from that contract, having a contract is not enough in itself

it's a new company she is paid commission based. I am hopiing that since she will be able to show more than enough of the cash requirement she will be ok. She will be able to work there as we get the company off the ground

It is a new company, and she is my best friend, and why wouldnt she... it is legit contract work. There is a problem because we know each other?

why not? He’s a company. As long as he pays her a salary and there’s proof of that, it’s like any other employer.

If his is a New company it's not likely to get the DTV visa. The UK Thai Embassy is NOT an easy one to get the DTV visa for workcation.

I would establish the employment contract too. It can only add weight to her application. Good luck
