Can a letter of appointment from Bumrungrad Hospital in Bangkok, for a comprehensive health check, be used as proof of confirmation to attend "soft power activity" applying for a DTV? Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The consensus in the comments is that a simple appointment letter from Bumrungrad Hospital for a health check is generally insufficient as proof for a DTV visa application. Stronger documentation, including a detailed doctor's report, treatment plan, and evidence of ongoing treatment over several months, is typically required for approval. Some users noted that while certain consulates may have previously accepted less documentation, the requirements have become stricter recently, necessitating comprehensive medical records.
Some more lax consular offices may accept it but you may also just receive a 60 day tourist visa instead. Generally you’ll want proof of an ongoing treatment over 6+ months and those comprehensive checkups just aren’t that.
A health check appointment alone is usually weak for medical DTV. Strong hospital documents *diagnosis, treatment plan, duration, paid appointments...etc are key.
In some cases, MFA may reclassify DTV to TR or MD if documents fit those categories better.
Thank you for your helpful reply... I stand corrected... WOW....August 2025 is surprising to see the DTV visa issued for One hospital and doctors appointment. A rare happening.
Anonymous participant 407 As others have replied....Things have changed greatly now with the DTV visa requirements with Thai Embassy's or Consulates requiring added medical care supporting documents with treatment plan from doctors and hospitals to obtain the DTV visa.
