TLDR : Answer Summary

They are advised to prepare for questions regarding their lengthy stay in Thailand and to be ready for potential unexpected outcomes, as experiences with visa extensions have varied for different individuals.

Nobody can tell you what would happen. While someone could get another Covid extension after staying in Thailand since early Covid chaos, someone else got rejected his first Covid extension after entering Thailand in late 2021. Be prepared for Plan A, B, and/or C.

you do not have a choice. If you entered visa exempt you must go to MTT...

If with a tourist visa you must go to CW.

AND NEVER GO ON OVERSTAY !

Be prepared to answer the question "Why you stay so long in Thailand?"

This is the new order for Thai Immigration to follow. Read last five lines of right column. Good Luck.
