What documents do I need for my STV extension application in Thailand?

#stvextension Good weekend, everyone ๐Ÿ‘‹ I am on an STV that expires on 8th April. I have started to collect the paperwork for the extension application. The Test & Go hotel has finally replied to my email (only at the third time!) asking for the ASQ certificate as asked by the Bangkok Immigration office. Well, the hotel replied with this, "while you checking out , we do already gave to you the Test result certificate.". Apart from the fact that the Covid test result didn't show any information on the hotel stay, I don't think this is what the immigration office would be asking, right? I presume it's an actual document telling them that I stayed at the hotel on this date with the Test & Go scheme? Or maybe I am misunderstanding?

Or is there a different wording that I can use/terms from the Thai government that I can use to make them understand what type of document they need to provide?

I don't have an actual hotel booking confirmation from them either, as I had booked another hotel originally who then moved me here when they were asked to change to hospitel. The change was made 2-3 days before leaving for Thailand. The original hotel chased them a few times to get me an actual confirmation booking, but by the time I had arrived in Bangkok it had still not arrived, so I'm not sure they are very organised!

Thank you as always for the help ๐Ÿ™

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking clarification about the required documentation for their STV extension application, specifically concerning the ASQ certificate from the hotel. They received a Covid test result certificate but suspect it is not what the immigration office requires. There's also concern due to the lack of proper hotel booking confirmation stemming from a change in hotels prior to their arrival in Thailand.

you are referring to visa (immigration) matters and Covid (health) matters at same time. The hotel has given your Covid negative (health) result/certificate. But this has nothing to do with immigration matters. You have not stayed in an ASQ hotel your entire period in Thailand. If you are looking for proof of residence for those days in that hotel thatโ€™s a different / unrelated matter. I think you may be referring to the TM30 form? You can ask a hotel to sign that. You may need do spoon feed them! They also have a register of all foreign guests for a given day or days. They may give you a stamped copy of that as well.

Jomtiem is not Changwattana. Changwattna is extremely strict with the paperwork

I'm referring to point 6 in the list below. I posted previously about what to bring for the STV extension application and this list was posted. I'm working through this list of documents to bring to the immigration office

ok.. more clear to me now I have reread your original post. You do need a hotel booking confirmation โ€ฆeven the original one to prove you stayed in the Test & Go scheme. Puzzled how you received your Thailand Pass without a firm / confirmed ASQ hotel booking.

He's not referring to a pre-paid hotel booking (That's point 7). He's referring to point 6, the ASQ certificate issued by the hotel ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Thank you ๐Ÿ˜Š I was indeed referring to point 6. So does the hotels actually issue this certificate? Do you happen to know? By the way while I'm a bit masculine I'm still a woman ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…

I'm sorry for assuming you're a He ๐Ÿ™

Did you enter via Phuket? I remember someone recently who entered on an STV via Phuket, and had a problem getting the 90 day extension of stay based on STV in Bangkok because the hotel didn't know about the certificate

No worries ๐Ÿ˜Š No, I got in through a direct flight to Bangkok from London in early January. As said above I hadn't booked with them directly (sadly since the original hotel was very organised and on the ball!), but they should know the basics of the procedure at least ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

Your hotel should know exactly what type of document Bangkok Immigration requires. If they don't, I recommend contacting the Tourist Authority of Thailand, they should know or be able to speak to the hotel for the document

the ONLY people who will know if you have the correct documents when you go to apply for the 90 day extension on your STV will be the immigration officer you're sitting in front of

I have no idea if you have the correct ones or not, so I see a trip to your immigration office well before you want to get that extension to make sure you do have the right documents and if not at least you have time to round them up, OR if they say it's not correct you might have then talk to the hotel or hosiptel while you're there at immigrations to sort out what you need
