Hi Everyone, I am in Bkk on special tourist visa that expires on Jan 28. When looking into what is needed to apply for an extension im getting different requirments from every source. Has anybody gone through the extension process? Can you confirm the following is needed or not? Thank you in advance.
1) passport photo
2) copy of my passport information page
3) tm6 (departure card)
4) fill out tm7 at the immigration office
5) proof of accommdation (is your proof of payment for an airbnb enough or do you need something from your hotel or landloard? I have booked mine until jan 26.)
6) proof of covid travel insurance from a thai company
No 5 and 6 seem to be conflicting depending on the source. Any clarification would really be a big help. I intend on applying im the next day or two. Thanks again!

This is what the Bangkok Immigration office says on their website for STV extension. If you need to know more detail, best is asking to CW.

What extension of stay are you acquiring? Is this a 90 day extension of stay based on STV? If it is, what immigration office?

Based on ellie's post the info is just as confusing as before. Due in part that things have changed since i arrived. Im going to go armed with every document i have and if proves to be not enough lokely have to go back a second time. Cost of travelling during covid times.

Ok, so airbnb might not be ok if the place isnt registered...i wonder if that would create some issues for the person im renting from....alright...ill have to figure it out i guess. Hopefully it wont be an issue.

Yes i did. I was one of the first to arrive on the sandbox program. Hmmm i guess ill just have to go with all the info i can and hope for the best...?
If you arrived in the Sandbox, you wouldn't have gotten anything from the ASQ (since you didn't use an ASQ). If the hotel from the sandbox gave you any documents, submit that. Or, submit some proof that you entered via the sandbox.

Oh and the tax number for accommadation, if im with airbnb does this matter? And is that something my landlord would provide?
MOST (99%) of all AirBnBs operate as unlicensed hotels, and won't have a tax ID number. If you have a legal rental contract, that might work (along with their ID card).

Thanks ben! Canu comment on the asq certificate from the department of disease and control? What is that and where would you get it? Or is that the same as the COE when applying for the stv initially?
I think the information may be slightly outdated ๐ Did you enter on the test-n-go scheme by chance?

Yes thats right. With the stv you can apply for 90 day extensions twice for a total of 270 days. From what i gather in BKK its the immigration division 1, in the government complex.
