Hello,

My soon to be husband and I are preparing documents for so-called “Marriage Visa”. I have looked through the posts under the topic “#marriagevisa” and I didn’t see anyone mention document 6.3

Does it mean that I don’t have to present that document ? So just Kor ror 2-3 and document 6.1.3 are enough ?

Thank you in advance

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the necessity of document 6.3 for a Marriage Visa in Thailand, questioning if they only need Kor Ror 2-3 and document 6.1.3. A commenter advises that if marrying a Thai national, typically documents 6.1.1 and 6.1.2 are required for visa extension, and they recommend verifying with immigration for the latest requirements.

If you are female marrying a Thai man, and getting married, and registered in Thailand, there are documents you don't need for your type O extension. If you get married in Thailand you need part 6.1.3 in order to get married, and then you only need part 6.1.1, and 6.1.2 for your visa extension. It is best to actually go to immigration as they have a handout list of what you actually need, and it changes in some respects almost yearly. Also, always go with your husband for anything visa extension related. They always want to see both of you together. Keep copies of all the documents because in your case the only change in following years are the pictures. If you were a male married to a Thai female there would be bank letters needed, but as a female you don't need those.

thank you very much. I’m a Thai female marrying a German. So my bf still needs to provide 6.3? And what does it look like ?

no. That list has thinks for any situation. Like I said, go to immigration and get the list of documents needed. That is the only thing that is accurate. Are you in Bangkok, as it makes a difference?

also, your future husband will need a "right to marry" form with boxes to check saying he is either single never married, divorced (and if this is the case he will need bis divorce papers), or widowed, in which case he will need his wife's death certificate. Have him check never married, as they do not check. Then this form must be translated into Thai, and then the original and the translated copy taken to the ministry of foreign affairs of Pak Kret road to be certified as accurate and get the ministry stamp. He must have these in order to get married in Thailand.
