What documents do I need for a Non-O Parent visa extension in Surat Thani?

Hello! I need some information πŸ˜€

I'm on Non-O Parent visa since end March (yeah...the first days of the massive planetary burst we all sort of recover from) and should be applying for the extension soon in Surat Thani province.

Now, I checked the Thai Immigration website and the link to the list of documents to be provided is broken... I assume passports, birth certificate, tabian baan (original or copy is enough?), bank account statements (how picky they are on the funds?)...anything else?

If you've been through the process (my first time, usually I have a WP in Thailand) can you let me know how it goes pls? πŸ™πŸ’œ

Many thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking guidance on the documentation required for extending their Non-O Parent visa while residing in Surat Thani, Thailand. They mention the difficulties encountered due to a broken link on the Thai Immigration website. Comments suggest visiting the immigration office to obtain the official list of required documents, which may include the original birth certificate, bank statements, proof of residency, and other relevant documents, particularly emphasizing the importance of consulting directly with immigration authorities.

I'd say seeing as you're the mother of a half thai child, you'd need the original birth certificate, the house book listing for the father, the house book listing for the child, proof you or your land lord filed a TM30, your lease, a bank letter dated not more than 7 days before, update your bank book on the date you apply. On an extension based on supporting half-thai children there is no official 'seasoning' time (the amount of time the money must be in your account before you apply for the extension) BUT some offices treat it just like a marriage extension and want the funds in there for 2 months before you apply for the extension. SO again, I would GO to the immigration office and get the hand out and take the time to talk to them so you can get everything you need and then show up and pull it off in one try..

thank you, I'll gather all these and just go hoping I have all they need and if not will make an extra trip next week... Will also call the immigration office

You should go to the immigration office and get the hand out that lists the requirements and documents you need to get the extension of stay you want. That way you will know before hand what you need to prepare.

It requires an extra boat trip for the list...maybe someone has done it and knows the docs, would be much appreciated

Sadly it is what it is

, you need to post on one of the f/b groups related to the islands or the south of thailand. There are 70+ immigration offices in the country they all have slightly different criteria.

Personally, I'd rather take a boat trip NOW before you need your extension, get the official list of documents and talk to them rather than waiting until the current stamp is almost expiring and then showing up there and not be able to get the extension :(

Is it for raising a half thai child OR a 100% foreign child here?
