Someone posted this in another group when getting their non-o visa on covid extension. Are these requirements added to the regular 30 day extensions on TR60 and visa exempt entries?
Or is it business as usual on those? Seems excessive for an extension on a 30 days visa that most people explore and move around the whole country with.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion addresses confusion surrounding the requirements for obtaining a Non-O visa on a COVID extension compared to the regular 30-day visa extensions. Commenters clarify that the posted requirements are not related to COVID extensions but rather to specific conditions requiring an embassy letter for 30-day extensions, which has become more common due to current events affecting travelers from Russia and Ukraine. There is also mention of varying practices among immigration offices regarding these extensions.

Additionally, immigration Officer wanted from me, "foreigner landlord work permit" . He hasnt wpermit. And ı left from Thailand. 2 year is enaught for me living in thailand. I will Come again later.
This isn't a Covid extension. This is a 30 day extension by request of embassy. Your embassy has to provide you with an individualized letter stating you are unable to travel or return home for some reason. This is a very rare circumstance but a little more common now due to Russian and Ukranian people needing to use it.
understood thank you. This makes sense. The person who posted it was saying that the officer referred him to this when applying for covid extension. I just care about the good ole 30 day one on a short stay visa.
The goal of immigration is not to do immigration related work, it is to slowly but effectively reduce the amount of trees in the world, one paper sheet at a time. Also, to waste as much of everyone's time as humanly possible.
Ok. Lucky you, then. In my experience, their websites - if working at all - are notoriously outdated. Plus the fact that most immigration offices have deviating rules or additional local requirements.
that’s what the person posting it said, that it was for covid extension even though it says 30 day extension. Still perplexed. Never needed a letter for regular extension and those rules are not mandated anywhere else.
