Does anyone have any up to date information regarding getting a non o visa in Vientiane based on 'visiting' my Thai kids (even though I am the sole caregiver).? A few years ago I just needed their birth certs, Tbb and the mother's id copy. Any update? I can't see requirements on any government website.

Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The inquiry seeks updated information about obtaining a Non-O visa in Vientiane for the purpose of visiting Thai children, where the inquirer is the sole caregiver. Previous requirements included children's birth certificates, the mother's ID copy, and TBB, but the current criteria are unclear. Community responses refer to general documentation needed for a Non-O visa, including marriage certificates, spouse ID, financial proof, and related family documents, with a note about potential banking documentation needed for future visas.

You'll get a 90 day single entry Non-O but keep in mind there are reports of them cautioning people that next time they'll have to show a bank book <- although with that being said the people got the visa just fine without showing it

I'm not married so there's no certificate. A copy of mothers id + a certified copy as well? I'm more confused than before.
