Update on me cancelling my ED visa.

When I got there they asked for a copy of my transcripts. I did not have that, as i was told no need. All I needed was the letter from the college. Thankfully I could go online and print it

Needed a copy of my passport, visas and departure card and transcripts. They then stamped my passport giving me until the 6th of September, as per the date on the letter from my college.

So all sorted. Now to get my new visa.

Thank you Tod Daniels for your help

Why did you need to cancel your visa? When you leave it is automatically cancelled.

Thanks Tod. First time I've heard anything like this. Guessing this applies only to one year type extensions not the regular 30 day ones.

there is a difference between a visa and an extension of stay and in theory you're supposed to go cancel an extension of stay before you leave.

Sometimes if you just stamp out of the country, especially on ED or B extensions, when you go to get another visa extension it can cause you grief at the immigration office.

Glad it worked out for you (y) you're good to stay until the 6th and you will have no issues down the road getting any other type of visa :)

Thanx for the update
