When I got there they asked for a copy of my transcripts. I did not have that, as i was told no need. All I needed was the letter from the college. Thankfully I could go online and print it
Needed a copy of my passport, visas and departure card and transcripts. They then stamped my passport giving me until the 6th of September, as per the date on the letter from my college.
So all sorted. Now to get my new visa.
Thank you Tod Daniels for your help

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user provided an update on the cancellation process for their ED visa, mentioning required documents such as transcripts, passport copies, visas, and departure cards. They successfully extended their stay until September 6 based on documentation from their college and expressed gratitude for assistance received.
there is a difference between a visa and an extension of stay and in theory you're supposed to go cancel an extension of stay before you leave.
Sometimes if you just stamp out of the country, especially on ED or B extensions, when you go to get another visa extension it can cause you grief at the immigration office.
