What are the steps for extending a visa exemption for an elderly visitor in Thailand and handling the TM30 registration?

Hi all. Apologies if I am asking something already asked. I've been searching and looking but I'm still confused!

My mother in law (Israeli passport) is visiting. Entered with 45 day visa exemption. She wants to stay a bit longer and needs an extention (she'll be staying 60 days total).

We live in Bangkok.

1) Which immigration office do we need to go? Is it only the one at Laksi that we can go to? My mother in law is elderly with some serious mobility issues so we wonderd how accessiblwe the offices are and where she can sit and wait somewhere while my husband waits in line. How acommodating are the offices for disability?

2) What do we do about the TM30? We rent and she's just been staying with us so hadn't crossed my mind until I read the posts here. Do I need to get my landlord to do something (my landlord is not a helpful person)? The links to register online require documentation that only the landlord would have.

Thank you!

Well, I've been pleasantly surprised. My landlords assistant did the tm30 for us! She sent me this (hope I got rid of identifying info!). Will it be sufficient evidence?

yes that's all that's needed and often not asked for. Go early in the morning (say 9am) and you will avoid the queues, normally in and out in about 30mins.

Yes, that the one you need. Print it out on a paper in case.

You are going to go to IT Square Laksi Plaza temporary office, just next to Lak Si station of SRT Dark Red Line.

You will go here.

They provide a queue number when you get the documents checked. You wouldn't have to stand in line for your turn.

Also, there are a waiting area with chairs.

And you can book online here, so don't have to wait too long

Unless she has a history of staying in Thailand with Covid extension(s), BKK barely asked for TM30. But you can do her TM30 by yourself in Bangkok if your landlord doesn't do for you. Refer to this post by Tod Daniels for self-filing TM30.

Thank you. Hopefully they won't be overly strict with an 80 year old disabled lady who only needs a 2 week extension. Kind of obvious she's not a threat to the Kingdom in any way!

However, I see for the self-file that we need the lease. But it's only my husband and me on the lease, not my mother in law. She has no proof of where she stayed.

I'm trying my landlord too - fingers crossed! That would probably be the simplest option.

I'll

as self-file, you are the applicant with the lease, reporting your guest (mother) name.
