Looking for advice on applying from UK. DTV 1
The Thai UK embassy site implies applying through Thai e-visa as opposed to directly through the UK site. Does the application then go to London for approval?
Document showing current location. Is this Council Tax, utility bills etc from UK entities?
They require bank statement showing £11,000. This gives exchange rate of 45.45 baht/£1 whereas it's lower now.
Also do you need to show this balance for 6 months?
Thanks in advance
TLDR : Answer Summary
To apply for a Thai visa from the UK, you must use the Thai e-visa service, as applying directly through the UK embassy is not an option. The application will be submitted electronically and routed to the selected embassy, based on your current physical presence. For documentation, you need to provide proof of your current location, which can include council tax bills or utility bills. A bank statement showing a balance of £11,000 is required, but keep in mind that the conversion rate may differ from current rates, and there is some flexibility regarding the timing of that balance in your account.
