Has anyone from UK succesfully applied for the DTV at the embassy?
If so, what proof was required for the proof of funds in the account? Thinking of possibly lending the 500,000 and putting in my account for the application until it is successful. (I have a remote job with regular income so will afford to live but just dont have that amount of savings just sitting there)
Thanks in advance

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about the proof of funds needed for a DTV visa application at the UK embassy in Thailand. Several commenters suggested checking the embassy's website for the most accurate information, highlighting that applicants typically need to provide bank statements showing a minimum balance of £11,000 over a period, often 6 months. Some stressed the importance of maintaining that balance alongside salary deposits to ensure eligibility.
My brothers in-law just applied, he submitted 3 months of statements and they came back and wanted 6 months of statements showing a minimum of 11k + salary p/m.
you need to have a statement that shows an 11k balance per month + a month salary deposit (so savings of 11k (and not dropping below that 11k + salary deposit if using the remote work instead of soft power) example Jan 11k + salary, Feb 11k + salary Mar 11k + salary etc etc.
Check the DTV Thailand FB group a lot of posts from London applicants. You need a statement with an end balance of 11k GBP. London embassy details that amount on their site. Embassies apply their own conversion rate of 500K THB.
