What are the requirements for working remotely in Thailand with a Swiss employer, and can anyone provide examples of an employer confirmation letter?

Hi all

I would like to work remote in Thailand next year for my swiss employer.

I read, that the employer must write an "employer confirmation letter", where they write I work there etc.

Anyone had this case before and maybe have some examples of such "emoloyer confiramtion letters" ?

Thank you all

Best regards

Sandro

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user, Sandro, is looking to work remotely in Thailand for his Swiss employer and inquires about the necessary documentation, specifically an employer confirmation letter. Comments suggest that typically, an employment contract and a certification from the employer are required, affirming that the individual is allowed to work remotely from Thailand. Others discuss the importance of having the letter on company letterhead and mention personal experiences with similar documentation.

Typically two documents, an employment contract and also an employment certification letter. The latter saying that you're employed by the company and authorized to work remotely in Thailand.

Just ask your employer to write you a letter of statement saying your name and that your allowed to work remote from thailand. Pref on a company letterhead document.

And so this is basically everything I need?

There is no other things my HR must do or provide?

They were scared, that they have to do to many things and that many things are not clear.

But as far I know/read, the HR only need to provide this statement, nothing else.

they should provide a letter stating you are allowed to work remotely from Thailand and that there is no interaction with Thai entities or anyone resident in Thailand
