Hi, my work contract states I work remotely from my home address which is currently in the UK but states it is remote working. Do I need to get this changed or will this suffice? Or do I also need a letter stating they are happy for my to work in Thailand. UK embassy.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the necessity of changing their work contract to reflect their remote employment from Thailand while currently stating a UK home address. They question whether their existing arrangement suffices or if they require an additional letter from their employer confirming their permission to work in Thailand. Commenters suggest it is advisable to have a letter from the employer specifically allowing work from Thailand, and one user shares a similar experience, indicating they will also seek such documentation.

I was asked to specify Thailand. Also, have you asked your employer? In some countries the employer costs differ a lot if you work in another country (healthcare and stuff)... i dont know about the uk
