I’ve asked my employer about changing it but they have asked, can they not do me an official letter instead. They’ll write what I need.
If they confirm my employment. Years service. Current salary.
Say work is done remotely from home or abroad ( including Thailand) is fine.
Anyone successfully done this? Any tips on what should be included?
TIA

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks advice on obtaining a letter from their employer to confirm their ability to work remotely from Thailand for a Digital Work Visa (DTV). They are considering a letter that specifies their employment details and permission to work from Thailand. Comments from the community suggest including specific phrases such as 'remote work from Thailand,' using a recommendation letter template, and ensuring the employer's permission is clearly stated. Successful examples highlight the importance of having the employer's confirmation and use of company letterhead for authenticity.
The London embassy specifically asked for a letter from my employer saying I could work from Thailand. After I supplied that along with a flight ticket I was approved
Just write a cover letter stating that you are employed and u are allowed to work from remote in particular from Thailand. Print it out and bring it to your boss asking for sign and stamp.
I asked my boss if she could do that and she replied it was ok. I had waited for a month till I did what I wrote above and got it done in 10seconds. I really don't understand what the difference would be, as soon as it's signed there won't be any difference 🙄🙄🙄
