TLDR : Answer Summary
When staying in a hotel after returning to Thailand on a Non O Single entry visa, the hotel should initiate the TM30 registration process. Guests will need to present their passports at check-in for this purpose.

If you need the TM30, just ask them to print off a copy of their screenshot

It should do the initial TM30. If they are filing it they will ask for your passport to copy on check-in.
