Hi guys,

Have searched but there’s hundreds of posts with the words extension of stay and renewal 😁

How soon before the expiry date on a 12 month extension of stay based on employment, can I go to renew?

Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The renewal of a 12-month extension of stay based on employment can typically be initiated 30 to 45 days before the expiry date, depending on the specific policies of the immigration office handling your case. It's advisable to check with your local immigration office for their exact renewal timeline.

Hi
@Tod ********
, are you able to answer please? πŸ™

In Bangkok, Phuket, Krabi, Chiang Mai, Buriram and a few other places you can apply for a new extension when you have 45 days or less left on your current stamp.

You should be talking to your employer because they are the ones that hafta give you the documentation you need.

Different immigration offices have different policies about when the extension of stay can be renewed. Some can do it in 30 days, others 45 days. What immigration office are you using?
