How much money is required and for how long in a Thai bank account when you have an OX retirement visa that doesn’t need renewal for 5 years. I presume you might need to report at 1 year your bank account?

You have to provide your paid health insurance document every year, and your bank statement to make sure you are continuing to meet the financial requirement.

If you're Australian you don't need any money in a Thai bank account. You use funds in Australia as proof of finances

Go to the embassy website you'll be applying through.

See if they even offer the OX.

If they do, they will list the requirements.

This is what is required for you. It will not be the same for other people.

You can ONLY get an OX from the Thai embassy in your home country.

my first year was up in May. They are supposed to ask for proof of insurance. I had it ready when I flew in to BKK in June and they did not ask for anything been back twice since and also not asked.

Yes definitely have to provide that.

you may need to provide proof of insurance to enter Thailand if it's like the OA visa. But I don't believe there are any other requirements in Thailand.
