Required things for DTV-VISA from the Thai embassy site.

"Evidence of sufficient financial assets (at least 500,000 THB) which can take the form of:

-6-month official bank statement (crypto or other investment statements are not accepted)

-Payslips

-Sponsorship letters"

I'm curious about the last two.

Can a sponsorship letter be from the (homeland) company that you work for?

"Payslips"; I understand that they could be used as support for the fact that you are employed, but they are listed under "evidence of sufficient financial assets". Or this is perhaps at a later stage, similar to the 65k thing for non-O?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The DTV visa application requires evidence of financial assets totaling at least 500,000 THB, which can be verified through a 6-month official bank statement. Payslips and sponsorship letters may also be used, although their specific applications are a point of confusion. It's noted that sponsorship letters should typically be from the applicant's spouse or parent, supporting dependents instead of showing independent financial status. Additionally, there is some debate about the exact duration for bank statements required by different Thai embassies.

6 months? I thought it was three.

Sponsor letter is only for dependants applying for a DTV based on their spouse or parent. The holder of that sponsoring DTV can also sponsor the dependants so they don't have to show their own bank account.

Many embassies ask for the 500k as well as proof of payslips so they know you can support yourself while you're in Thailand.
