Is proof of having $15,000 in the bank required for a DTV Visa, or is sufficient income acceptable?

For the DTV Visa. Do you need to have 15k USD in the bank or will enough income be enough to get approved? My question is if you need both or will either one work?

TLDR : Answer Summary
For the DTV Visa in Thailand, applicants need to demonstrate proof of funds in their bank account rather than meet an income requirement. Specifically, a bank balance of 500,000 THB (or equivalent) is required, along with statements covering the past three months. Income alone will not qualify you for the visa.

There is no income requirement for DTV. The requirement is proof of funds in the bank.
