Visa APPROVED via NY embassy

6 weeks of waiting for my husband’s softpower cooking class through House of Taste. And my 20 yr old son's softpower through Tiger eye Muay Thai. With so many rejections lately on this group, it was a stressful wait. My daughter is attending Bangkok University in August and so happy our whole little family will be together in same country. Now on to adding myself and our two youngest kids to his visa. 

I did all the paper work myself thanks to this group

Congrats! How long was the Muay Thai course? And did you have to act as a financial sponsor for your son?

Anonymous participant 929 we did the 6 month course. My son had his own bank account with more than 17k in it. But I also wrote him a sponsorship letter stating I was the one that deposited that money for him. Just incase they asked where the money came from.

How MANY MONTHS of the Cooking course did your husband submit with his application?

How many months of the Muay Thai training did your son submit with his application?

Did your son have his own bank account with the US $17,000 balance required for 3 months for his DTV visa application?

Or did his father or you submit a SPONSORSHIP LETTER with your son's application?

6 months for each course. My son had his own bank account but I wrote a letter stating i deposited that amount in his account. And added i would be financially responsible for him.

yes, but they are awesome. I paid about 1k for the muay thai course but they are flexible about when you can start and they are super helpful. My son was supposed to start June 1st but since we were not approved yet he changed it for August 1 instead and they were great with it. Same with my husband cooking class, we paid about 6, 700hundred. And they were ok with starting later. They even warned about how long the NY embassy was taking.

9 months or 12 are now recommended by many soft power activity course sponsors. As several Thai Embassies and Consulates are issuing the SETV single entry tourist visa or the METV multiple entry tourist visa instead of the DTV visa.

PRINT OUT THE EMAIL THAT HAS YOUR DTV VISA.

That's what you should do... print it out.

You may have to show PROOF of your DTV Visa to airline staff on check-in for your flight ✈️ to Thailand...even to the connecting airline staff. Or to the land border crossing entry Thai Immigration Officer.

Upon arrival into Thailand, show the DTV visa to the Thai Immigration Officer and look at the STAMP placed in your passport to be sure you are STAMPED in for 180 days.
