If I get a one year multiple entry NON-IMM-O (Thai child) Visa in Hong Kong what's the deal? Will I even get it or just the 90 day version? IF I remember it right with the one year option you have to leave at least every 90 days and you don't need to show those 400,000 thb, is that correct? I have to travel a lot this coming year, so leaving the country wouldn't be an issue. Thoughts? Recommendations?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The question addresses the possibility of obtaining a one-year multiple entry NON-IMM-O (Thai child) Visa from Hong Kong, inquiring about the likelihood of receiving the one-year visa versus a 90-day version. The discussion highlights the experience of applicants regarding the need to prove financial support (e.g. showing 400,000 THB) and potential for extending the visa from within Thailand after issuance. Additional comments suggest checking with local immigration offices and consulate requirements for clarity and verification.

Let us know if you can get the year-long, multi-entry Non-O based on supporting a thai child from that consulate. AND if you needed to show the 400K baht banked money.

You can apply for the Extension of Stay at your local Immigration Office. These are the general requirements but every office has it's own extra's, best way is to visit them and ask the hand out what needed.

Oh and one more question: once this 1 year visa issued in HK is running out - can it be extended inside the country?

Thanks
@Robert ******
! I didn't find that information on their website. I'll probably go for the 1 year version then.

I copied this from their website: 6.2 Applicant’s family members (i.e., spouse, parents and children who are unmarried and under 20 years old) are eligible to apply for a Non-Immigrant Visa (category “O”) and will be allowed to stay for a period of 90 days but no longer than 1 year. Evidence of the certificate of Marriage and birth are required.

6.3 Supporting documents that the sponsor has sufficient funds to pay for the cost of living of the applicants (for example, copies of bank statement, bank book, tax returns etc.)
