Bank statements

The lady with a mole on her right side of her mouth is finding needles in the hay stacks.

She sees that I am staying for long time and doesn't believe I am not working.

She asked for everything possible.

Likewise to the French black man ahead of me. I am Singaporean (Asian).

Now my application is on hold.

She will submit to someone to review.

Let's see.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user shared their experience at the Thai consulate in Hong Kong while applying for a visa after frequently entering Thailand on a tourist visa. They were asked to provide extensive documentation, including an employment contract, proof of income, flight information, and bank statements. The consular officer was strict, raising concerns over the user's long stay without working. The user is now waiting for their application to be reviewed. Others in the comments shared their thoughts about the scrutiny faced when applying for visas and suggested alternatives like the Elite Visa.

Time for a new passport

And start with HK first. Then Laos and HCMC all the way.

She verbally told me.

She approved this for one last time.

Next time purchase the Elite Visa or apply in Singapore.

Well noted.

I have always thought

Spending the money and force myself to fly out a few times is good.

But now.

I think it's worthy to pay for the elite visa

The general feel is

They don't like the workload.

It's full house here.

How many old tourist visas do you have in your passport? I am also wondering if I go there and they see many tourist visas from other consulates if they will question me... or do they only check to see how many times you applied at the hong kong Thai embassy?
Ron *******
Jay Nase sorry about that but that's the rules. I would like to live at my place in Florida but unfortunately the US don't allow multiple entry tourist visas one after the other. That's no different to a US citizen wanting to live in the UK by the way!

Personally and it's just an opinion of how it's going, I don't see Thailand allowing it a whole lot longer in it's current form either.

Just to let you know, Extension of Stay based on marriage needs only 400.000 Thb in the bank.

Money can be better spent.

I can afford

But feel the pain. 555

@Ron ******
That's true. But I don't fall into the category for a Non B visa based on retirement or marriage or working. So I'm limited to using Tourist Visas and the only other option is the Thai Elite visa but that's $15,000 for 5 years... and I simply can't afford that.... I'm living off my life savings, so that limits me. Even if I were to get married, I don't have 800,000 baht to get a year extension of stay, so that's why I'm stuck with Tourist Visas.

@Tan ***********
if you can afford the Thailand Elite visa, you won't regret it. There is no hastle once you have it.

You cannot simply continue to live here on a tourist visa and not expect at some time it's stopped. That's not what a tourist visa is designed for. There are other options if you want to continue to live here.

Stick with Laos.

Best bet.
Jason ******
i thought there were no set rules on how many SETV you can apply for. now im worried because ive been going to different countries for tourist visas, so now im thinking if that doesnt matter and they still count how many total visas you have, then it would be easier if i just go to Laos instead again
Robert *******
Part of the job of the Consulate or Embassy is to check the application and yes they have the right to deny your application. That does not make them not friendly, it is just doing their job.
Jason ******
@Robert ******
but if someone has 2-3 SETV from other countries, its still possible for them to deny your application for that reason if you go to hong kong for the first time?

Not as friendly as Laos
Robert *******
Looks to me she is doing her job correctly, why is this consulate not friendly?
Tan ************
ORIGINAL POSTER
Yes. She flipped every page of my passport.

Not just me.

Many others were given the marching orders for little things.

Some got accepted eventually.

My first time here.

I have many visa exemption.

Three SETV from Laos.

HK is not friendly for regular visa application folks.
