What are the new visa rules for travelers arriving in Thailand?

@everyone

It is now confirmed that travelers arriving in Thailand are receiving 30-day visa-exempt entry stamps, with the change taking effect from midnight today.

Please plan your stay accordingly.

As a reminder, we offer door-to-door 30-day extension services in Bangkok for 5,000 THB, allowing you to complete your first extension without needing to leave your residence.

If you have enough time to apply for a 60-day Tourist eVisa before traveling, this is generally the better option if you intend to stay in Thailand for longer than 60 days.
Answer summary
Travelers arriving in Thailand now receive a 30-day visa-exempt entry stamp as of midnight. Visitors can extend their stay for another 30 days through a door-to-door extension service in Bangkok for 5,000 THB. It's recommended for those planning to stay longer than 60 days to apply for a 60-day Tourist eVisa in advance. The conversation includes inquiries about visa validity for longer stays, extension processes, and personal experiences regarding visa applications.

Yes, you can apply on your own for the official 1,900 THB fee, but for some people the process can take several hours.

Some clients are also concerned about receiving only a 7-day stamp instead of the full 30-day extension.

With our service, we ensure the 30-day extension.

nobody is concerned about getting a 7 day extension when it is 30 days. The process takes minutes not hours.

Correct.

The official immigration fee is 1,900 THB.

If you would prefer to stay at home, you can use our service for an additional 3,100 THB. We will pick up your documents and return everything once the extension is completed. Guaranteed 30 day extension (no 7 day stamp).

Does anyone know how long it takes from submitting application to receiving 60 day tourist visa at UK embassy?

I applied and received an Evisa for 6month validity METV. They have quite a few hoops for you to jump but I got it eventually. One thing to be sure of is don’t wait for an email thinking you’ll receive correspondence as to any issues along the process. They tell you on the website if they want more things from you. That wait made me have to cancel all my booked flights and accommodation applicants are forced to book in advance. I was waiting everyday for the Visa Success email which never came and only realised my application was on hold a week already when I saw a message in the site’s system.

It’s rather cryptic like they want you to photograph things like bills to prove you’re currently at your home not in Cambodia. Also it’s awkward on the phone it’s better done on a big screen.

Laura Sumner London is usually very quick. I’ve had mine issued in a matter of a couple of days a few times but never longer than 7-10 working days

It depends on where you are applying from, generlaly 1,000 to 6,000 THB being the most expensive.

Applying for a tourist visa is most likely not advisable if you have already made several long stays or extended trips to Thailand.

The process is quite fast at the moment for most embassies, and costs as little as 1,000 THB.

This is the safest approach, and way to stay the longest as you can do an additional 30 day extension on top of the 60 day TR.

plus have proof of onward travel within 30 days in case it is asked for - just get the 60 day visa which costs less than an extension ;)

If you are from one of the visa-exempt countries, you can enter Thailand under the 30-day visa exemption.

Once you are in Thailand, you can then apply for an additional 30-day extension.

The other option is to just apply for a 60 day TR visa through
