Could someone confirm the differences in the maximum length of stay on either a Visa Exemption (45 days) or a TR Visa (60+30) (Australian citizen entering from Cambodia)

Its such a critical piece of information to start the process that I want to be sure that I have it right! Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
An Australian citizen entering Thailand from Cambodia can stay for a maximum of 45 days under the Visa Exemption, which can be extended once for an additional 30 days. Conversely, with a Tourist Visa (TR Visa), the maximum length of stay is 60 days, also extendable once for up to 30 days.

Yes - although there are no regular flights there are two charters a month between PP and BKK...

A visa exempt lets you stay for 45 days. This can be extended ONCE, as an 30 day extension of stay based on tourism.

A tourist visa lets you stay for 60 days. This can be extended ONCE, as a 30 day extension of stay based on tourism.

Three months was the aim...so the Visa is the best option there.

The single entry tourist visa would be the best.
