Good evening, I am currently here on a tourist visa but it is about to expire on october 2nd. I am looking for work to be an english teacher but I know I will need to do a boarder run soon. Does anyone have any experience about border runs because I see online that if i take a plane I can get 30 days but if i come in on land I only get 15 days. Do you know if I extend after the 15 days will I get another 30 days? Any help or advice is appreciated appreicated

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is on a tourist visa expiring soon and needs to know about border runs and visa extensions. They mention conflicting information about the duration received when crossing borders by air versus land. A comment clarifies that both methods now offer a 30-day entry, and users can extend their visa exempt entry for an additional 30 days for a fee. It’s also noted that changes to the duration of stays will be effective from October 1st.

you are mistaken,

You get 30 days entering by air OR land. That 15 day by land rule was cancelled on Jan 1, 2017.

You can get ONE 30 day extension on a visa exempt entry for 1900baht as well

IF you wait until Oct 1st to bounce to the border and back you will get 45 days because the visa exempt entry will go from 30 days to 45 days starting that date.
