Hi Guys, I am currently seeking for your kind advice. I have non b + work permit however since my company is a non profit organization, I can only obtain 3 months visa. The immigration wont allow me to extend since im lacking of TAX document..Im tired of going in and of Thailand. I wonder is there any alternative way to avoid going through the whole process every 3 mos?Can I extend it for 1 yr? or is it better to

use non-o (but I know its for 3 mos validity only as well)

Thanks in advance..

TLDR : Answer Summary
The author is seeking advice on how to avoid the hassle of frequent visa renewals for a Non-B visa, which is limited to three months due to a lack of tax documentation from working at a non-profit organization in Thailand. Commenters suggest several alternatives, including: visiting the tax office to pay taxes for three months, considering a Non-O visa, applying for a Multiple Entry Tourist Visa (METV) for longer stays, and the limited options available for extensions based on age (50+) or family ties. Overall, the conclusion emphasizes the difficulties posed by the lack of tax documents for obtaining longer visa extensions.

Make a visit to the Tax office, declare your income, pay income tax for three months and problem solved.

yes, thai staffs are getting the normal salary same as mine. Im not sure but I think non of us pay tax since the company doesnt pay tax either. But if yoi said I have to pay tax I will suggest to my boss if that would take to solve my visa issue
Robert *******
Understand, was thinking if staff and you have normal salary than it is just pay tax.

they have but very little from trainings
Robert *******
Okay, so you and your staff do not have any income out of working for that company?

I mean I never heard of the process like I just have to pay tax in three mos and that would solve the problem. I normally had my personnel with me whenever I go to immigration to talk to the IO. Base in my understanding , they said that "since my company is not really a company but a non profit organization" which means they are not paying tax and obviously they cannot provide the very last documents that I need.
Robert *******
You really mean that you never heard of income tax payments, even after Immigration is asking you for it?

Really?? Never heard that before but I'll try and inquire. Thanks ๐Ÿ˜‰

I described a Business B Visa which you get by becoming employed by a Thai Registered Company or start such a company of your own. A twelve month visa is not available to someone under age 50 unless it is a B Visa or an O visa based on Marriage or caring for dependent Thai children. There is an Ed Education Visa but that now is a series of 90 day visas that must be renewed.

Your best shot is the METV Multi Entry Tourist Visa that has a term of 6 months with a series of 60 day stays which can be renewed with a Border Bounce and Extended by 30 days at a Thai immigration office. You can get the METV to last 8 to 9 months by timing a border bounce just a few days before the 6 month expiry - getting another 2 months which can be Extended 30 days. You get the METV at the Thai Embassy / Consulate in your home country. Requirements are proof of having a job in your home country /outside of Thailand, or business ownership, plus have a bank account with the equivalent of $7,000 in it. Plus, some other minor requirements.

I'm coming to Thailand next year, I'm 42 and retired, will I be able to get 12 month visa?
Phil *******
I am told it is easy. 5yrs + years. You still have to do a 90 day report.

@Phil ******
is this straight forward, and how long does the visa last, and what type of cost for this please. Thanks
Phil *******
If you have money Thailand Elite visa.
Johnsuma ******
you can try to present them the prove that you are REALLY retired with an official document legalized, get a lawyer in TH as you will need to see a juge.
Lance *******
Best option for you would be getting a multiple entry visa before you come i think you can stretch that out to 9 months or more.

12 month multiple entry Non imm visa in Penang, Malaysia. Must Exit and Reenter Thailand (Border Run / Border Bounce every 90 days. The 90 day Border Bounces require No documentation, no traveling to the interior of the neighbor country. Not as good as a one year Extension but better by far than getting a new non imm O every 90 days.

Thanks
@JD ******
that's great option. I know where I stand but this is better. Im trying to make things easier for me because with my current visa, I have to go through the whole process bringing all documents in Laos to reapply my visa. Do you know any agency by chance or I can just go there alone?
Lloyd ********
And the work permit must be valid for a minimum of 8 months.
Jason ******
the only other way to get an extension of stay for 1 year is either marriage, have children/family or retirement 50 and older. normally people can get the extension based on work but since you are lacking the Tax documentation then there isn't any other way around that
Jessie ******

Thats what I'm thinking, extension will be impossible. Appreciate your answer , thanks
